Associated Shipbroking was established in August 1993 by its founding partners Jim McLoughlin and Julian Owen both of whom had worked in London as Sale and Purchase brokers since the late 1970's.

Having had successful careers in London, it was decided to make a strategic move to the more "Euro-central" position of Monaco which welcomes and encourages such companies. The general migration of many London Greek offices back to their homeland made the move an easy one.

Since its inception the company has flourished and now including its offices in China has over 20 brokers specialising in Newbuilding contracting, sale and purchase and dry cargo chartering. The group concluded business worth in excess of USD 30 billion and annually transacts business in excess of USD 2 billion.

With an experienced team of dedicated professionals speaking Italian, German, French, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, Farsi, Norwegian it is well placed to service its international clients needs.
